Subj : BBS-independent MRC client (door)?

MRC is where it's at right now, especially with all the meatups that have
been happening... There's the Mystic BBS MPL version, and I've seen a
Synchronet port by eChicken... But was thinking, wouldn't it be cool to
have one that was BBS-independent, and just ran as a door program? E.g.
native Linux, Windows, Pi, etc. Any BBS system could use it, then.

I'm the World's Worst Programmer, and while I have been dabbling in door
programs, this is *probably* over my head. But I'd like to try.

Any pointers that developers in this community can give me, would be
greatly appreciated :)
