Hmm, either bbs is sending a cursor off ESC sequence (not likely when typying
messages..)  Or it's a terminal program issue.  Fe.. Netrunner, Syncterm etc..
if your seeing this issue in one terminal and not the other,, or if you see it
in every terminal program you try.. then you have your answer.. :)
