I was not refering to if they did it intentionally.
The fact that somebody is using obviously untested and buggy software like that
 to process mails worries me.

That is good.
What is less good that software in such a sorry state was used on a live
system.
Anyways ... I think I read that this catastrophic bug has been fixed.
So let us hope that nodes update quickly, and that SBBS very much improves
their testing procedure to evade escape of alpha quality code into the wild.
