I've found that ZeroTier does use the most optimal routing possible between
hosts.  I find it works well.  I'm even running a MMDVM and AllStar node over
ZT, which took a bit of configuration, because I'm routing a 44.x IP over it,
which the default configuration doesn't allow.  Anyway, I can take this system
to just about any working Internet connection, fire it up, wait several
minutes, and I'm on the air. :)
