Hi,
Most times when people use the bonding with multiple network cards they are trying to get more than 1 gig of throughputout of the nas.
In order for this to work you will also need a switch that will support lags.
If you are just wanting to provide nic insurance I don't think having one network card into each switch will work for you as this may cause you a routing loop on the network where you have a single mac address showing up on more than one switch.
