I haven't done anything more interesting than splicing videos and adding things that say, "part 2" or whatever on the screen, but it's DaVinci Resolve.

I also played around with things like having a stabilized video from something I took while walking.

I'm not sure what other people use, etc., but at least for fairly basic purposes it's free and pretty capable.

I think other people might use OBS Studio somehow, but I've really only used that for recording calls on Microsoft Teams, at work.
