Yes, I can see that, and the attraction of it.  Good points on the 
flexibility.

One drawback of that system, at least for me, is the hassle factor of 
subscribing/unsubscribing, shuffling things around, tracking when the 
"free trial period" ends, and so on.  Manageable, but irritating.
