We're in the Bay Area, but we are considering moving to SoCal in the next month or two. We're looking to move close to the water, though, to keep the temps more consistent. Naturally the costs increase the closer you are to water but it's just the two of us and a dog so we don't need much. My friend lives in Las Vegas and has solar. He's been running his AC 24/7 all summer. His utility bill last month was $12.00.
