I actually figured it out later.  The VM for my telnet nodes was in sync
with the host system and server, but I noticed that my dial-up node had
somehow got set to an hour ahead.

They are all back in sync now, so hopefully that'll fix the issue.  I don't
know why I didn't think to check that node initially.
