In ~1985, the school I was about to leave, was still teaching programming on
punch cards in some kinda antique mainframe.  I forget what it was, and I
can't find a record of what it was now... Junior students didn't get any
interaction with it whatsoever though.

That very same year, they put in a lab of C64's about 20 of them, with some
fangled networking, attached to 2 x floppy drives. Always wondered how long
that lasted for...
