We went to Peoria, so there wasn't a lot of desert mud. We also went to Jerome, which was pretty cool seeing everything build on the side of a mountain, and Williams, which was basically just a tourist attraction. Either way, not a lot of actual desert, so we didn't get much of what you experienced.
