We definitely need more of this today.  The once a year "Take your kid to work
day" really doesn't cut it.

My current company does intern programs in the summer and it is very
successful.  But it takes time and money (since someone has to manage, find
work and mentor the interns) and there are more than few companies who are too
cheap for that (like my previous employer).
