I mostly read and posted to echomail but did do some limited netmails often to local sysops etc... but it always felt then (as it does now) to be a fairly quick thing to post something, come back next day or two and read some replies. But with TCP/IP traffic these days it can be minutes now instead of days depending on if you strike it right with whomever is reading the echomail areas around the globe.
