I'd send it up to my hub overnight, my hub would send it to the echomail coordinator, who moved the mail overnight to one of the star sites, and the process would reverse. Sometimes, if the person didn't quote, I'd forget what we were arguing about! Crashmail improved things, I could crash mail to my hub as soon as I was ready. When I got my first FTP FTN feed, I was in heaven - I could poll hourly, for free! Unfortunately, by that time, 1997 or so, Fido networks were on the decline. ....
