i didn't look before but according to the dosemu wiki it uses the hardware- assisted virtualization as well, so it might no longer work.

but basically: any software that uses 16-bit or 32-bit hardware virtualization (in a way that would allow running a 32-bit OS from the sound of it) would no longer function

so any combination of linux running virtualbox running windows 32-bit, windows 7 32-bit native running the built-in dos vdm, potentially linux running dosemu as mentioned above, windows 64-bit running virtualbox running os/2 running a dos bbs.. those types of combos would be dead on this proposed architecture.

it's just a proposal though. i think AMD broke some of this stuff on early
ryzen cpus and people complained so we're not the only ones using it still..
