We had drives of all flavours around back then.  There weren't many RLLs or
ESDIs for that matter, although they were sprinkled in for flavour and you to
beat your head against a wall trying to figure out why they wouldn't run with
your MFM controller :)  But by far we had more MFMs than anything else, and
IDE was kinda just arriving. Still had IDE drives with steppers on them,
voicecoil was really new and funky if you came across one.
