It's worth researching the news regarding their ice cream machines.
They're incredibly finicky, have a self-cleaning mode that when it
fails, requires 4 hours to reset, there's one company that services
them, they're locked down to prevent service, parts are horrendously
expensive, and the company is currently suing a company that the
franchises love that reverse engineers the maintenance interface so the
franchisees can fix it themselves.

There's another law suit around a company that made a screen scraping
app that would map out which McD's machines are out of order by trying
to place an online order for a shake and reporting which are
unavailable.

It'd be a lot easier if they bought ice cream, milk and one of those
stick blenders...
