I was going to say, sounds like a new diet plan, but that definitely wouldn't be good.

I had Schweppes ginger ale once, and I thought it tasted similar to Canada Dry, which I like.  I've also had Vernor's, which I think has a really good flavor, but I think it has more sugars and calories.  What was the high-end ginger ale that you discovered?
