Subj : Problem with message base Dates

Ok, having a weird issue. When I do a index search of all the message bases on my BBS its shows the date of the latest message posted. If there is a new message posted it will show the correct date. But after a day or so if there has been no new messages it shows the last post date as 01 Jan 1970. If I read a message form that base that show 01 Jan 1970 and exit out it will change the date to the date that the last message was posted. 

Any Ideas?
