Sorry for all the questions - but, is 'compiling your nodelist' running my mergenodelist.ini ?? 

I always add the newest nodelists to my /mystic/nodelists directory... and I run ./mutil mergonodelists.ini - which... merges all those nodelists. Are my nodelists 'compiled'???
