Subj : ALSA don't see USB soundcard, but see it... To : Denis Sovkov From : Maurice Kinal Date : Fri Apr 12 2024 04:08 pm Hey Denis! [command]: aplay --list-devices **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: U192k [UMC202HD 192k], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Note that there is no other soundcard listed and it automagically gets set to card 0. Normally there is an audio chip on most motherboards and usb devices get allocated to card 1. If this is the case and you want the usb audio to be the default output then make sure that /etc/asound.conf reflects that. --- my /etc/asound.conf for usb audio --- defaults.pcm.card 0 defaults.ctl.card 0 ----------------------------------------- Edit the above file by changing 0 to 1.
