I run a irc network along with my synch bbs, on seperate sister domains. I've 
always wanted someway to have a irc bot display stats about the bbs. Say if a 
new user signed up, someone posted something new on the forums, a new file 
was added to the library or even when someone logs in to the board.

I stumbled apon this today: http://www.jibble.org/pircbot.php

Looks like someone already had a simular idea. I've seen this used for forums 
on a website. When ever someone posts a new topic or replies to an existing 
one. It notifies the set IRC Channel about that post.

Being the programming newbie, i have the slightest clue about Java. Anyone 
have any exp with this and making some type of notification system with this 
type of code?
