//include this somewhere...
String.prototype.trim = function() {
   return this.replace(/^[\s\r\n]+|[\s\r\n]+$/g, '');
}
String.prototype.ltrin = function() {
   return this.replace(/^[\s\r\n]+/g, '');
}
String.prototype.ltrin = function() {
   return this.replace(/[\s\r\n]+$/g, '');
}

now you can use  yourstring.ltrim()
