Subj : File Systems Maintenance To : All From : poindexter FORTRAN Date : Tue Feb 28 2023 11:05 am I'm hoping to do some cleanup work to my files section - they're a collection of BBS utilities, legacy software, t-files from the 80s and 90s and files from file distribution networks. They're a mess. What's the best way to maintain/manage Synchronet file areas? I don't know if there's a utility that'll do it, especially since if memory serves there's been some changes to the file format? I'd like to be able to update descriptions mostly. File_id.diz I'll probably leave alone. I'm thinking that, worst case, I could copy all of the files to a temp directory, blow away the files listing, create a files.bbs file with the correct descriptions and re-upload them locally? Any suggestions appreciated. --- þ Synchronet þ .: realitycheckbbs.org :: scientia potentia est :. .
