About this server
I wrote this Gopher server in javascript, it runs on node.js in Docker.
The machine runs several other things, all in Docker.
It has a 1.6 GHz Intel Xeon E5-2603v3 CPU.
It has 6 physical cores, and 32 GiB of RAM.
The system drive is a 256 GiB Samsung EVO 750 SSD partitioned with EXT3.
The main storage is 9 x 5 TiB HGST HDN726050ALE614 drives in zraid3.
The mainboard is a Supermicro X10SRi-F.
The CPU is cooled by a Noctua NH-U12DX i4, very quiet, very cool, I was glad
that I found this heatsink, the selection of narrow ilm socket 2011 sinks is
pretty small. The chassis is a NZXT Whisper full tower, and it is an expensive
piece of shit. The disks overheat without a qite noisy high-speed fan in
the middle of the disk areay due to bad airflow. I need to replace this soon.
The server is running Ubuntu 16 LTS.
