Sprinkle with salt and pepper. If sage is liked sprinkle over two teaspoonfuls. Slice apple and onion thinly. Place a layer of pork in pie dish with a layer of apple and onion on top and continue until all is used. Pour in a little stock or water and cover with a crust of mashed potato.
