I have two memorable area - Los Angeles are where the water is very evil tasting and Arrowhead-Puritas makes a fortune delivering bottled water to nearly every home that has enough of the "necessary" to avoid drinking or cooking with tap water. The other is Slidell, LA where I once took a shower at the TA truckstop and felt dirtier after the shower than before. The tap waster has a big sulfur component to it and my skin felt "slimy" and generally nasty even after towelling off. The restaurant advertised "ALL beverages made with bottle water!"
