Subj : Paletas de Sangrita To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Sat Jan 13 2024 16:05:07 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Paletas De Sangrita (Spiced Tomato-Tequila Ice Pops) Categories: Alcohol, Desserts, Mexican Yield: 10 Paletas 1 c Water 2/3 c Sugar 2 c Ripe tomatoes; (5); pureed 1/2 c Silver or blanco tequila 1/4 c Freshly squeezed lime juice; -(3) 3 tb Hot sauce * 1/2 ts Salt * Choose a brand that isn't too vinegary, such as Cholula, Tapatio, or Valentina. Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring, until the mixture comes to a boil and the sugar has dissolved. Let cool to room temperature. Combine the tomatoes, tequila, lime juice, hot sauce, salt, and syrup in a large bowl and stir until well combined. If using conventional molds, divide the mixture among the molds, snap on the lid, and freeze until solid, about 5 hours. If using glasses or other unconventional molds, freeze until the pops are beginning to set (1-1/2 to 2 hours), then insert the sticks and freeze until solid, 4 to 5 hours.
