Subj : Taiwanese Sweet & Sour Pork To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Fri Feb 02 2024 10:43:18 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Taiwanese Sweet & Sour Pork Categories: Chinese, Pork, Taiwanese Yield: 1 Batch 1/3 lb Boneless pork loin; (150 g) 4 Green bell pepper chunks 4 Tomato chunks 8 Onion chunks 1 ds Tapioca starch 1 ds Sweet potato starch 1 Green onion; cut into -sections 2 ts Garlic; diced 1 tb Chilies; diced 3 tb Ketchup 3 tb Sugar 2 tb White vinegar 1 ds Corn starch Cover the pork thoroughly in a batter of tapioca starch or sweet potato starch if you got it. Heat the oil pot to medium heat (about 160 C), cook the meat in the oil until the batter is golden brown, crispy and fragrant. Remove the meat and set on a strainer so the oil can drain away. Heat up the wok and add 1 tb oil. Turn up the heat and add green onion, garlic, and chili and stir fry until fragrant. Add the ketchup, sugar, vinegar, slowly stirring in starch mixed with 1/2 cup of water until the sauce becomes thick.
