NEWS::: Fidograph: The nodelist visualized:

This little project may have already been around for a while,  
but it deserves a retelling.

Fidograph provides a visual interpretation of the Fidonet  
nodelist.

Usage:

 http://2613.ru/fidograph/?z=#
 http://2613.ru/fidograph/?r=##
 http://2613.ru/fidograph/?n=###

 where:

 z=zone
 r=region
 n=net

 and:

 #|##|###=the number of the zone, region, or net.

Operation:

 When the presentation is rendered, hover over each termination  
 point to get a pop-up of the system info for that nodule.

 A double-click on each node/nodule will transport you to a
 fully rendered results page of an implementation of the
 NodeHist project originally by Pavel Gulchouck 2:463/68,
 operating as: http://nodehist.wfido.ru/ and is the same script
 that is runs as https://nodehist.fidonet.org.ua/

 The Fidograph project uses the daily nodelist sources for a
 fully up to date report.


Uses:

 [1] A fun way to explore the nodelist.
 [2] Identify your favourite net and use that as a "live"
     desktop background.
 [3] Sysops: use that to illustrate nodelist structure to
     new sysops or users alike.
