Good luck with that! ;-) It would be quit simple to impliment. Some sysops however may find a quick ping to their binkd port intrusive, but it really wouldn't be. A responce to the query would be enough to know if the system is up or down. The issue might be with the volume of nodes. Someone suggested I'm actually writing such a thing but I'm not. I do however do this for amateur packet radio using my software. That may be where the confusion came from. ....
