That's the mode I am using now. I do use x also on my desktop and see the BBS
as it has always looked in the past with all the line, box drawing characters.

I wonder why, I have not seen that. A dependency maybe? I have not seen that
error so couldn't even guess but if you ask in one of the synchronet areas
someone might have a solution.

Are you building on linux or a Pi? Is SDL installed on that machine?
