I'm not positive that it was OS/2's fault, as that system died shortly after that change was made. I intended to attempt getting that machine going again, but ended up having to scavenge the power supply from it to fix another machine. At some point I will replace the power supply and see if I can get it to run again, but it's really low on the priority list at the moment.
