Police are investigating after a man died in Auckland's Massey last night.


Officers were called to a home at about 9.20pm and found the 59-year-old man
unresponsive.


"Medical attention was immediately provided however the man subsequently
passed away," a police spokesperson said this morning.


"A 40-year-old man at the property was taken into custody."


The second man is set to appear in Waitakere District Court today, charged
with common assault.


"Enquiries into the death are ongoing," police said.
