A police spokesperson said officers were made aware of a vehicle, believed to be stolen, travelling along State Highway 16 shortly before midnight. Waitemata West area commander Inspector Jason Edwards said the car was alleged to have been taken from a Sunnyhills address earlier in the day. Police spotted the vehicle driving towards Te Atatu Peninsula and, soon after, it was being tracked by the Eagle helicopter. "The vehicle failed to stop when signalled to do so and left the area at speed." Police units on the scene elected not to give chase. "Eagle kept a close eye on the vehicle as it travelled towards Henderson." The vehicle entered the car park at the West City Mall and officers arrived shortly after. "Three people were taken into custody without further incident," Edwards said. A 14-year-old and 15-year-old were charged and will appear at the Waitakere Youth Court today. Another 15-year-old was referred to Youth Aid. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A44 2020/02/04 (Windows/64) * Origin: S.W.A.T.S BBS Telnet swatsbbs.ddns.net:2323 (63:10/102) .
