One month after a woman's body was found in Auckland's Gulf Harbour, she
remains unidentified and police are still seeking information.


Acting Detective Inspector Tim Williams said a 'black notice' has been
completed and sent "to our international partners" through InterPol. A black
notice is used to seek information on unidentified bodies.


Williams said police are continuing to liaise with overseas counterparts as
inquiries are ongoing.


"Our team are also engaging with a number of NZ Police Liaison Officers in
regards to this matter.


"As police have indicated previously, this is a complex investigation.


"We appreciate there are still many questions the community has in relation
to this investigation and we can assure you our team is working to find those
answers," Williams said.


Last month police released images of the clothing worn by the woman when her
body was pulled from the water in a rubbish bag.


Fisherman Paul Middleton was in the area on March 12 when he discovered the
human remains. A homicide investigation was then launched.


The victim is described as an Asian woman, possibly Chinese, middle-aged, and
of small stature.

On March 20, it was revealed police tested the DNA of the woman - but the
profile did "not match anyone in our records in New Zealand".
