The first death happened in an accident near Raglan this afternoon.

Police responded to a crash between a car and motorcycle on Ohautira Rd
around 2pm.

"Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene," a police
spokesperson said.

The road was closed for a time after the crash but has since reopened.

The second fatality was in Auckland's Mangere around 6pm.

Police said the motorcyclist died in a single vehicle crash on Oruarangi Rd.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
