Subj : Auckland jewellery store robbed twice in two weeks To : All From : News Date : Mon Apr 22 2024 11:48 am Police are investigating a robbery last night at a jewellery store in Newmarket - the same outlet struck in a ram raid less than two weeks ago. Investigations were also continuing into the ram-raid on April 12 at the same location, along with other jewellery store robberies. Around 7.30pm on Sunday night, police were called with reports of a group of four people entering the store on Broadway wearing masks. Police said it is understood the group took a number of items before leaving in a vehicle. "The vehicle believed to be involved was located abandoned a short distance away on Mauranui Avet and has since been towed for further examination. "Enquiries are ongoing to understand the full circumstances of what has occurred and a scene examination is being completed this morning." While no arrests have been made at this stage, police said the investigation team was working through a number of lines of inquiry. "As part of this, we are keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents may be connected.
