Fire and Emergency NZ said the fire is burning through forestry slash in an already harvested area at Lee Stream, near Mosgiel. Strong winds in the area have seen the fire spread up the gully, where the fire has been contained. "We have multiple crews and four helicopters working on the fire. While the fire is still burning and smoke will be visible to those nearby, it is contained to the area," Incident Controller Craig Geddes said. Crews are now focusing on burning off the remainder of fire's fuel using controlled burning tactics within containment lines. Fire and Emergency is urging motorists in the area to drive safely on State Highway 87. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A44 2020/02/04 (Windows/64) * Origin: S.W.A.T.S BBS Telnet swatsbbs.ddns.net:2323 (63:10/102) .
