Subj : Woman injured by screwdriver-wielding robbers in Papakura

A woman has been injured during an aggravated robbery in the Auckland suburb
of Papakura this morning.


Police were called to a commercial property on Settlement Rd about 7.22am
after two men entered the store armed with screwdrivers and began making
demands.


"One person was assaulted and received minor injuries," said Detective
Inspector Karen Bright, Counties Manukau CIB.


She said this type of violent behaviour was "unacceptable and will not be
tolerated".


"We are now working hard to hold those responsible to account."


Bright said footage provided by eye witnesses has been "extremely useful in
our investigation".


Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who had information regarding the
incident, was urged to contact police by calling 105 or anonymously through
Crime Stoppers.
