Subj : Two teens arrested after Auckland store robbed twice in three days To : All From : News Date : Fri May 24 2024 01:08 pm Two teenagers have been arrested this morning after a second aggravated robbery at the same Papakura store robbed earlier in the week. Police responded to reports of a robbery at an address on Settlement Rd at 6.15am on Friday. "It occurred at the same location as an earlier incident on Tuesday this week which left a woman injured," said Detective Inspector Karen Bright, Counties Manukau CIB. Police earlier told 1News that screwdrivers were wielded by robbers in the Tuesday heist. An abandoned vehicle believed to be linked to the group was located by police this morning on nearby Laurie Ave. "Inside the vehicle were a number of cigarette and vape products believed to have been stolen this morning." Bright said police were making inquiries and found two people believed to be involved a short time later. "This morning's apprehensions were assisted by calls from members of the public, which resulted in police locating the alleged offenders at an address in Papakura." Both men - aged 16 and 17 - were charged with aggravated robbery in relation to this morning's incident. The 17-year-old will face a second charge of aggravated robbery in relation to Tuesday's incident at the same store. Bright said further arrests and charges in relation to these "extremely concerning" incidents would not be ruled out. "There will be a continued police presence in the Papakura area this morning as our inquiries continue." The two arrested men are due to appear in the Papakura Youth Court today. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A44 2020/02/04 (Windows/64) * Origin: S.W.A.T.S BBS Telnet swatsbbs.ddns.net:2323 (63:10/102) .
