One person has been taken to hospital in moderate condition with burns after
a house fire in Oamaru this evening.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand said they first received a report on the
incident at 6.51pm.


The fire was now extinguished, but crews remained at the scene.


"There were two crews, both from Oamaru," said FENZ.


St John confirmed it was also called to the scene at 7.15pm, and transported
a patient to hospital in "moderate condition" with burns.
