Mustafa was taken to Te Kuiti Hospital unconscious on last Saturday afternoon with what police initially described as "violent, blunt-force trauma" and "non-accidental" injuries. The man was arrested and charged yesterday. Police have not ruled out further changes possibly being laid. His lawyer Rosalind Brown asked for interim name suppression until his next appearance. Police prosecutor Sergeant Murray MacDonald sought interim suppression of the summary of facts. The man was granted interim name suppression by Judge Noel Cocurullo and remanded without plea until his next appearance - at the Hamilton High Court - on Tuesday, July 2. Cocurullo also granted interim suppression of the summary of facts. The judge said the High Court is the appropriate place for these matters to be dealt with. He also granted a section 168A non-contact order and a request that a translator be present at the man's next appearance. The accused sat in the dock with his head bowed throughout the proceedings. No application for bail was made. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A44 2020/02/04 (Windows/64) * Origin: S.W.A.T.S BBS Telnet swatsbbs.ddns.net:2323 (63:10/102) .
