Thanks for the heads up about Gameport.  I am (trying to) check it out now, the 
website is sloooow.  I see an E-mail link at the bottom so I may get a chance 
to click on that later when the page has loaded. ;)

I am curious when was the last time anyone had a response with a LORD key - 
from searching online there are multiple posts of people saying they hadn't 
heard back, but it's not clear if that was temporary or if those people even 
contacted the right person or gave time for a reply etc.

In the meantime, I found a way to generate valid keys for 4.08, I didn't write 
a full keygen but can manually calculate them by running in a debugger.

Anyway, will see if I can contact Gameport, the $15 price point for LORD is 
pretty reasonable.
