There is an ini file you can config to set up admin passwords and some basic settings. You run this and ensure you have port forwarding open so people can reach the server, from memory ports 8000-8001 Icecast runs a simple webserver that you can direct the media player to. Have a look at totalfm.nz and check out the URL for the 'listen to the audio' listen.totalfm.nz:8000 will show you what I mean The URL someone clicks on is more like listen.totalfm.nz:8000/stream Now you need some software to feed the IceCast server and that can be a bunch of different tools depending on what you are running to generate your music. Have a look at something like Rocket Broadcaster - the Icecast encoder ... to get you started.
