My instructor had a Toyota, I think.  My first car was a Holden Torana, which I
had for several years.  3 on the floor and no power steering, but that never
gave me trouble.

My Torana's clutch was rapidly dying as I drove it to the car yard to trade it
in on a Mitsubishi Sigma. :)
