I can now appreciate the benefit in maintaining rust-proofing undercoat for a car that one would want to keep using beyond 8 yrs, atleast. But I never thought that 8+ yrs would be my result. The mechanical lever (right along the cabin floor) that pulls on a cable to open the door for the gas tank corroded right off. I've been using a pair of pliers to grab what little that is left to clamp on to. a> It was in the age where many things started to break. I've been pretty lucky, I guess. I've had nothing major at all, except now: the rear suspension. I had the rotors replaced once before though, at $90x4 just for the parts, at about 8 years into its life. The original battery lasted 10 years! a> And for ~3 years, from 2014-2017, I've owned a Citroen 2CV a> from 1989 where I fixed and updated some things during that a> time. That 2CV looks like a funky oversized Volkswagen beetle. :D --- OpenXP 5.0.50 * Origin: Ogg's WestCoast Point (21:4/106.21) .
