Subj : Justified To : poindexter FORTRAN From : Blue White Date : Wed May 22 2024 07:35 am > I finally finished streaming "Justified" on Hulu. I can stop craving > fried chicken, drinking bourbon at divey bars and having nightmares > about coal mines now, I suppose That was one great show overall, although there was a season or two in the middle that were not as good as others. I miss it, but have most of it on DVD now. > I found it interesting that of the two main characters, one is from > the South, the other was born in Hawaii. I assume you mean where the actors are from? I had no idea where they were actually from. Being a Kentuckian, what I found interesting was their depiction of the cities in the area. In an early episode, they showed what was supposed to be an outside scene in Lexington. Lexington is our second-largest city, and looks like a city, but they made it look more like Frankfort or some other small river town. Later, they had a few scenes where a member of the Cornbread Mafia was at his desk in an office looking out over a bunch of sky scrapers. That scene looked at most like Louisville, but was supposed to be the Capital -- Frankfort. At the time, Frankfort only had *one* building over 12 stories tall, and it was imploded several years ago now. > Now, there's a time-jumped series called "Justified: City Primeval" to > watch... This one is not nearly as good as the original. Without giving any spoilers, Raylan seems dumber (sometimes a lot dumber!) and most of the new charaters are not too likeable, whether they should be or not. In the original, there were times you found yourself pulling for Boyd even though he was the bad guy. The best part of the new one is the end of the final episode (and no, not just because that meant it was over!). I did not see it on streaming, but when they showed it on FX after it had streamed. People who streamed it say it was better because you can watch it "like a movie" and the story flows better. I would still suggest watching it, though. --- Talisman v0.53-dev (Linux/armv7l) * Origin: possumso.fsxnet.nz * telnet:24/ssh:2122/ftelnet:80 (21:4/134) .
