Heh. Yeah, I don't know if I can go that far back and still enjoy it. 
Television in the 70s and early 80s (particulary where the target demographic 
was expected to be kids) had a pretty big layer of cheese on the writing, and 
some pretty miserable production values. I re-watched the Six Million Dollar 
Man last year. Some of it was pretty tough going.  Right now I'm watching 
Miami Vice.  The aesthetic is every bit as great as I remember, but some of 
the acting is...not great.
