Subj : Hello, Raspberry friends.. To : All From : paulie420 Date : Thu Sep 10 2020 08:08 pm I'm just now finding PiNet on [The Underground BBS] and hoping that this FTN is active in 2020... I do a lot of projects with Raspberry Pi's, and have more of them [used and unused] than I'd like to admit... in front of my significant other, anyway. :P Currently, I'm working on a video/television/button project that I'm fairly excited about: 1942 Philco Predicta TV [Fully refurbished & begging to be viewed!] Raspberry Pi Zero Capacitive Touch Button [One for now, but maybe more options/buttons later.] HDMI>>Coaxial Converter Box RF Modulator Switcher 800>>300Mhz [To step down to the older UHF two-prong connector.] Some Python code [User presses button, random video plays. If user presses button during playback, next video plays.] After getting it all setup, I now realize that it will be better to boot into a system that AUTOMATICALLY begins playing a random video playlist, and then goes to the next random video on button press. I also play a few photos before that, and a Philco Predicta commercial prior to random videos. But, I need to write some code that does a PLAY RANDOMS 1st *ELSE* PLAY NEXT ON BUTTON PRESS -- but I am super new to Python... so, I'm trying. Lol. Anyway, thats my long intro... and hello, PiNet... I'll continue to check the FTN on [The Underground] and I'm hoping theres some traffic here. I'd love to carry a Pi-related FTN. pAULIE42o .......... --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A46 2020/08/26 (Windows/32) * Origin: www.theunderground.use:10023 (314:314/255) .
